Video: Slik topper og stikler du planter

I dag deler jeg to helt ferske videoer:
– Den første handler om å toppe plantene. Det vil si at du kniper toppen av en plante slik at den presses til å lage sideskudd. Dette vil gi en buskete plante med flere blomster enn om den får stå urørt.
– Den andre videoen handler om å lage stiklinger. Da tar vi disse toppene (om de er lange nok) og stikker ned i jord, hvor de roter seg og blir til nye planter.

Både å toppe og å stikle er enkelt nok til at alle burde prøve! Er noe uklart etter å ha sett videoene så spør i kommentarfeltet 🙂

Bonusinfo: Praktisk talt alle urter skal høstes på denne måten, altså ved å toppe, ikke ved at du plukker ett og ett blad slik som mange gjør.

    Takk for nyttig video. Lurer på om dette er fremgangsmåten på roser også, kan man ta stiklinger av f.eks stilkroser??

    Har du noen video som viser hvordan man deler Georginer også?? Er jo ikke så lenge til det blir aktuelt 🙂

    • Hi Øyvind 🙂
      Ja, du kan stikle roser, men ikke alle type roser. Stilkroser er det vanlig å okulere (pode, altså feste på en annen rose som har sterkere rotnett). Noen stilkroser kan stikles, men om du skal starte med å stikle så er det andre roser du bør trene på.

      Georginedeling ja, jeg hadde tenkt å lage en slik i våres, men det ble ikke tid. Georginer deles på våren nemlig. De kan deles på høsten om man skal bytte eller gi vekk knoller, men det er best å dele de på vår.

  10. Kan jeg ta stiklinger direkte fra Pelargoniene mine og stikke i jorda, eller bør de stå litt i vann først. De er laget av stiklinger fra før der jeg kjøpte dem. Veldig bra planter der forresten 🙂 Nå begynner de å bli litt høye og strantede synes jeg, men selve plante og bladverk virker bra. Kjøpsted: Grini Hagesenter i Bærum. Selger bare om våren og produserer selv et annet sted. Fantastisk hyggelige og opptatt av gode planter, ikke gift og meget gode priser. Hyggelig miljø – de samme menneskene har jobbet der på våren i mange år. Hyggelig å bli gjenkjent som den gær´ne damen som alltid kjøper for mange planter 🙂

      Du kan like gjerne stikke rett i jord, det med å ha i vann først er jo morsomt, men ikke noe poeng, de roter seg igrunnen bedre i jord. Pelargonia er veldig enkle å stikle, og morplanten blir jo bare finere av å skjæres litt tilbake 🙂

  16. Tusen takk for videoen om topping ! Har kjøpt bøker og leita på nettet før, men akkurat dette står det ikke noe om. Jeg er veldig glad i blå stemor og røde hagenelliker. I år har jeg ikke fått tak i frø, vetken på nettet eller de butikkene jeg har her i byen. Vet du om det kan være en grunn til det?

    Han topper tomat og chilliplanter og jeg har prøvd dette selv. Det fungerer virkelig bra… så jeg vil absolutt anbefale å prøve det også.
